SuperK SELECT – tunable multi-channel filter
The SuperK SELECT is a multi-channel tunable filter based on Acousto-Optic Tunable Filter technology (AOTF). You get access to up to eight simultaneous, freely tunable channels. It is an easy-to-use, flexible, and accurate tuning accessory that provides access to any wavelength in the SuperK spectrum, from 400-2000 nm.
We have designed it for industrial use. Its robust and compact design gives you maintenance-free 24/7 operation.

For our PhotoVivo platform, we use the SuperK FIANIUM with SuperK accessories. We can now measure optical coefficients of ex vivo biological tissues, synthetic materials, i.e. optical phantoms in the 380-2000 nm range.

Tunable filtering and built-in intelligence
Tunable filtering over two octaves
The SuperK SELECT is equipped with one or two Acousto-Optic Tunable Filters (AOTF), powered by an RF driver.
The AOTFs allow tunable filtering over two octaves in the visible, nIR, or IR spectra. Each octave has its own optical output. Choose from the standard free-space collimated beam or the optional fiber-delivered output.
Up to 8 wavelengths
Up to 8 wavelengths per channel can be continuously tuned simultaneously for each AOTF and the power of each wavelength can be controlled through the CONTROL software as well.
Built-in intelligence lets you plug and play
Intelligent SuperK accessories communicate with the SuperK FIANIUM via the specially designed communication bus. No need for complicated downloads or configurations. Just plug the accessories in and let the SuperK recognize and install them.
Additional accessories? No problem! The external bus can handle the connection of multiple accessories, so you can expand the uses of the SuperK without any fuss.
The CONTROL software gives you access to all information about the status of SuperK SELECT.
LEDs on the side panel can inform you about shutter position (Emission), Interlock, applied RF signal, and the supply voltage via the external bus.
The SELECT has a built-in RF switch that lets you switch between the two AOTFs without cable changes.

Options
Power lock, external power stabilization
The Power Lock options enable you to lock the power output of the SuperK SELECT via a built-in photodetector. Simply connect the detector to the External Feedback BNC connector of the SuperK. Activate locking from the control panel and the SuperK will now lock the power output of the SELECT.
Power Lock monitors are available for both output ports. The long-term stability of a locked output will typically be better than +/- 0.5 % (over many hours) – depending on the wavelength.

Single-mode fiber delivery
The SuperK SELECT is compatible with our SuperK CONNECT high-performance fiber delivery system that comes complete with broadband fibers and a range of termination options such as FC/PC connectors or high-quality collimators.
Interfacing is handled by the CONNECT fiber coupling block that ensures easy and stable single-mode coupling that can be disconnected and reconnected without alignment.
