Spatial shaping of a SuperK supercontinuum laser

Supercontinuum beam shaping opens new possibilities in imaging and spectroscopy. By combining a GPC Light Shaper with a tunable filter, researchers created smooth, speckle-free spatial light distributions from a SuperK laser—delivering high efficiency and precise control over both spatial and spectral output.

In collaboration with NKT Photonics, researchers at DTU Fotonik shapes the output of a SuperK Supercontinuum laser using a GPC Light Shaper. The GPC reroutes and manages the output from the SuperK into speckle-free contiguous spatial light distributions with high efficiency. Moreover, by using a tunable SuperK SELECT filter on the source, the output can be controlled not only spatially but also spectrally.
