SuperK FIANIUM supercontinuum lasers

The range of SuperK FIANIUM supercontinuum white light lasers is broad as a lamp and bright as a laser. They deliver high brightness diffraction-limited light in the entire 390-2400 nm region. By adding one of our filters, the SuperK can be converted into an ultra-tunable laser. Our lasers are maintenance-free and the full fiber monolithic architecture ensures excellent reliability and a lifetime of thousands of hours.

A maintenance-free lifetime of thousands of hours

The SuperK series is based on NKT Photonics’ world-renowned Crystal Fibre technology that has reliably delivered supercontinuum to all fields for over 15 years.

Our lasers are fully fiber monolithic which ensures excellent reliability and a lifetime of thousands of hours – as well as maintenance-free and alignment-free operation. For scientific applications, we offer a 2-year warranty.

Ready-to-use and fail-safe operation

Operating the SuperK FIANIUM is easy and intuitive for users from any discipline, no laser expertise is needed. Get supercontinuum light at a press of a button!

The emission button lets you switch the light on and off without the need to reduce the optical power or wait for the system to warm up or cool down. The jog wheel system makes it easy to operate the laser. In standby mode, the laser remembers the latest power or current setting and returns to the same level when the emission is re-activated.

You can get access to all laser functions from the SuperK CONTROL graphical user interface on a PC.

Robust and maintenance-free

The robust system is fully modular, allowing easy operation and service where accessory modules can be added without configuration – all plug & play. 

Functions can be changed on-the-fly without powering down the system.

Spectral variants and power levels

The SuperK FIANIUM series is the industry’s most efficient supercontinuum lasers and delivers the highest power in the visible range. The high efficiency means better reliability and less unwanted residual pump power at the output. You can get up to 2 W in the visible wavelength region.

Should you require more power, it is easy to upgrade the SuperK laser due to its modular design.

Variable repetition rate (Pulse Picker)

The pulse picker option allows the repetition rate of the SuperK FIANIUM to be easily changed on-the-fly while the system is running at full output.

Repetition rates of 0.15-78 MHz are available as standard, giving the user ultimate choice for lifetime measurement applications such as FLIM.

High beam quality


The SuperK FIANIUM series is perfect for applications in need of high-performance beam output. Diffraction limited output from a proprietary collimator design ensures a superb single-mode, broadband collimation at high power.

Filtering and beam steering operations are made precisely due to the high pointing-accuracy and broadband beam collimation. Finally, the excellent single-mode Gaussian beam quality ensures the coupling of light back into the single-mode fiber at efficiencies up to 70%.

Connectivity and plug & play accessories

The SuperK FIANIUM series has a range of functions allowing the user to monitor and expand the functions of the source. Standard triggering and synchronization functions, such as NIM, are provided for control of the equipment.

Pulse timing signals are available for monitoring the status of the SuperK FIANIUM series under a variable repetition rate. More importantly, the series is equipped with a digital communication bus interface for intelligent communication with the SuperK Accessory suite.
