ORIGAMI IRO – the new cost-efficient optical parametric amplifier system

NKT Photonics, in collaboration with APE, is pleased to announce the launch of ORIGAMI IRO. ORIGAMI IRO is a widely tunable, cost-effective femtosecond laser and optical parametric amplifier system (OPA).

The ORIGAMI IRO combines the industry-leading beam pointing stability and compactness of the air-cooled ORIGAMI XP with APE’s fully automated, environmentally stable OPA technology. The result is a reliable platform capable of producing sub-200 fs pulses spanning the ultraviolet, visible, and infrared from 210 nm to 11 µm.

The product is equipped with several features enhancing ease-of-use, including single-beam continuous output from 210 nm to 2600 nm and fully automated programmable operation facilitated by a wide suite of system monitoring sensors and optimization routines.

“The ORIGAMI IRO ideally complements our industry-leading SuperK portfolio of broadband, tunable white light lasers and we are extremely excited to be able to provide this solution to our customers together with APE” says Jeppe Johansen, Director of Product Management at NKT Photonics’ Ultrafast Lasers Division.

“The combination of ORIGAMI femtosecond lasers with APE’s established OPA technology will provide significant capabilities for customers within the spectroscopy, optical device, and materials characterization communities” adds Marcus Beutler, OPA Product Manager of APE.

The ORIGAMI IRO will be showcased at our booth, #3201, at Photonics West 2020. Come by and have a talk about your requirements.
