The SuperK EXTREME supercontinuum laser can be customized to fit your application. Choose freely between our options for the most flexible supercontinuum laser on the market:

SPECTRUM

Blue (EXB), White (EXW) or Red (EXR) spectrum

POWER LEVEL

0.1-2 W in the visible wavelength region (1-8 W total power). See the avilable models in the table on the right. Should you require more power later, a SuperK laser can easily be upgraded to a higher power level.

VARIABLE REPETITION RATE

On-the-fly variable repetition rate (pulse picker). The system will run at any of the following repetition rates (in MHz): 80.0, 40.0, 26.7, 20.0, 16.0, 13.3, 11.4, 10.0, 8.89, 8.00, 6.67, 5.71, 5.00, 4.44, 3.64, 3.20, 2.96, 2.76, 2.50, 2.35, 2.16, 2.00. The repetition rate can be changed while the system is running.

FIXED REPETITION RATE

Choose between 40 or 80 MHz fixed repetition rate.

POWER LOCK

The Power Lock options enables you to lock the power at any place in a setup, where the SuperK EXTREME will automatically compensating for any drift or variation in external components in the setup up to 200 Hz. Download Power Lock application note.

SuperK EXTREME power spectra

Supercontinuum Spectra (Blue, White, Red)

The SuperK Extreme series has now three different spectral offerings giving the user flexibility in choosing the wavelength coverage most fitting to their application. The Blue (EXB) series provides light for applications that require blue wavelengths <450nm. The White series (EXW) provides spectral performance from 460-2400nm for applications that require high visible power, especially for fluorescence and white light interferometry. The Red (EXR) series provides light dominating in the near IR with high power, specifically targeted for applications in in-vivo imaging and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT).

All sources share the same SuperK Extreme platform and are compatible with all SuperK Accessories and SuperKontrol software. Due to the modularity of the SuperK Extreme platform, it is possible to upgrade from one power level to another OR one spectral series to another spectral series. The SuperK Extreme evolves with your application!

On-the-fly repetition rate control (pulse picker)

The pulse picker option allows the repetition rate of the SuperK EXTREME to be easily changed on-the-fly while the system is running at full output. Repetition rates of 1-40MHz or 2-80MHz are available as standard (down to 100 kHz on custom request), giving the user ultimate choice for lifetime measurement applications such as FLIM.

Moreover, systems equipped with the pulse picker also has an industry standard Nuclear Instrumentation Module (NIM) trigger output enabling very easy integration with lifetime measurement equipment such as TCSPC systems and FLIM equipment. The NIM trigger even features a variable delay for maximum flexibility.

Software Development Kit (SDK)

The standard SuperKontrol software allows the control of all standard functions of the SuperK Extreme and its accessories. However, some applications require a more detailed control of the functions of the SuperK Extreme or accessories in order to fulfil complicated tasks. Examples are timing of wavelength exposure or critical triggering of downstream equipment. The Software Development Kit (SDK) is an extra option which allows users to customize certain aspects of the SuperK platform to give maximum flexibility. In conjunction with NKT Photonics engineers, users can open up a new toolbox via the SDK to exploit the SuperK platform to the maximum.
