Medical Imaging

Until now, biological and medical researchers have been limited by the type or number of the dyes that could be excited in their fluorescent imaging. Conventional laser scanning imaging systems are equipped with a set of gas or solid state lasers that emit fixed laser lines for use. Using this kind of equipment the researchers has to make compromises by choosing the dyes and the labels according to the available imaging system.

Now with the introduction of the SuperK Supercontinuum White Light Laser, the researchers have the freedom and flexibility to select any excitation line thanks to this powerful light engine, which can be embedded to any application that requires. In addition to the SuperK supercontinuum laser, an eight channels Acousto Optic Tunable Filter (AOTF) can be used to choose any wavelength that might be of interest independently of each other and simultaneously.
